What's Up, Buttercup?
We went to see Vincent van Gogh's "The Starry Night, Saint-Rémy, June 1889. Oil on canvas" at the Yale Art Gallery. It's on loan from The Museum of Modern Art, along with "Cypresses" from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Cool to see them side by side because they don't normally live together. There are a gazillion videos that pay tribute to Vincent. I chose this one for its simplicity and because the colors of the paintings looked good on my screen. I am (pathetically) doing the whole Vincent thing: reading DEAR THEO, singing with Don McLean in my head, cutting off my ear, etc.
(after last night's rain, the big spike on my wild verbascum has burst into bloom for a second time!)

No-I’m not going to cut my ear off (that was a joke-Vincent was a very sad man and once cut off a piece of his own ear, poor thing.)
I know that vincent did that speaking of wich, one year one of our room mothers was van go and she tied gnaz around her head and over her ear for halloween! Our new puppys name is Maylee Brook May Alice Lee. My mom knows how to e-mail pics so i will ask her to help me get one to you. Oh and geuss what nick jonases b-day is today( hes a famos singer)

I would LOVE to see a picture of Maylee. I looked up Nick Jonas so now I know all about him. Don MacLean is/was also a famous singer. He wrote the Vincent song that is in the video. Papa likes it.
