Look in the Book, Schnook!

I keep forgetting that I co-authored a book. Jeff keeps reminding me. So I'm not really blowing my own horn here, I'm just using this space to keep track of myself. Back in the dark ages, Martha asked me to write Storycraft with her. The thing that I'm most proud of is the artwork. It's also still available from the publisher, so hey-why keep it a secret?

By the way, because of a youth storytelling club that I ran for five years, I'm quoted extensively in Children Tell Stories, by Beauty & the Beast Storytellers (Mitch Weiss and Martha Hamilton). I have never met Mitch and Martha, but I think that their coaching talents are evident from the photos of the children on the cover of their book. I'm honored that they invited me inside. Two whole pages (more or less) of fame!

Lynne - I'm so proud of you! And I'd like to get this book for ideas of things to do with my grand daughters, now aged 4 and nearly 8. They ask me to tell stories and I need to expand my repertoire. I love the cover - really great design.

Hi Patricia! I think if you all the time and I long for our hikes and other adventures. If you want some good storytelling stories, check out my list of links under "Story Collections". Some of the sites are kind of academic, but it's not a bad place to start. I'm adding to the list all the time and now that I know of your interest, I'll keep an eye out for fun stuff. Love to the girls and Happy Autumn!

You also illustrated the book--including the covers! The front cover is my favorite :)

I'm getting one! I feel like a kid in a candy store. I help with Pajama story hour every Tuesday at our library --- and you've tagged out age group exactly... Happy, happy, ME

OK---now I’m nervous.  I wrote that book ten years ago!

I'm gonna love it, and you know, then I get a picture of you ten years ago which isn't a small potato, either.

456 If you can't find your copy of the book, I'll keep one each for you and Alice, if you want. Were you reading a magazine article about birth order?

456 Oh. Ten or fifteen years ago the concept of "birth order" was very popular and a bunch of books were published on that topic. Same idea, I guess.
