It's hard to believe that little baby Sailor (now known alternately as Demon Cat, Sailor Longpaws or Big-Ol'-Handsome-Man Cat) arrived two years ago today. It was a cold rainy midnight and he was under my truck in the driveway where my car headlights found him screaming for his mama. I had a split second to decide whether to brave the monsoon and rescue him or to let him fade off into the night. Thus do our lives change in a heartbeat.

Sailor Boy! Such a brave cat. And who knew that that little kitten meowing in the rain would help rescue a whole family of cats. And who knew that there would be so many littler boxes involved. And so much depooping of those boxes. :) And who knew that one day his Mama would be sleeping on someone's warm cozy couch and that his sister would go to live with a writer and help him write books every single night. Who knew. HE KNEW! He was the bait! "Sailor, go look pathetic and that nice woman will rescue you--and then we're all in!" If you give a kitten a mitten...
Looks like Vicki's Laverne and Shirley!
Demon Cats always are the handsomest. Someday I will tell you the tale of T'Pau with a locust in her mouth.
